Resorts World Opening Announced!

The New Mega-Resort Opens June 24th!

Resorts World Las Vegas began taking reservations on April 19th, and announced that the doors to the first new Strip property in over a decade will open on June 24th. This announcement shows that the project, in the works since 2007, is nearing completion and that Las Vegas is ready to come back to life and be the tourist hotspot it is supposed to be.

If you haven't heard of Resorts World Las Vegas, it is a $4.3 billion mega-resort being built on the old grounds of the Stardust Resort and Casino. On opening day, most of the selling points of Resorts World will have been finished and ready for use. Some of these features include:

Retail:
With nearly 70,000 square feet of dedicated retail space, Resorts World will be able to offer experiential offering for both luxury and lifestyle brands.

Nightlife:
A massive 75,000-square-foot entertainment complex will feature multiple experiences with initial concepts including Zouk Nightclub and AYU Dayclub. Rumored headliners include top-tier DJs such as Zedd and Tiësto.

Casino:
The 117,000-square-foot casino floor will feature slot machines, table games, a dedicated poker room, high-limit areas, and a sportsbook. You can already enroll in Genting Rewards, the resort's loyalty program.

Pool & Spa:
The 5.5-acre pool complex will be the largest pool deck in Las Vegas and feature seven unique pool experiences, including the only infinity-edge pool on the Strip, as well as a 27,000-square-foot spa.

In addition to these wonderful amenities, Resorts World Las Vegas wants to be the most progressive resort on the Strip and they hope to achieve this by including a wide range of modern technology such as mobile check-in, digital keys, and even an AI Concierge named Red! Finally, Resorts World offers three different hotel options: Hilton, Conrad, and Crockfords. Las Vegas Hilton at Resorts World will offer full-service guest rooms ranging from 400 to 3,300 square feet; Conrad Las Vegas at Resorts World will offer rooms and suites ranging from 550 to 2,800 square feet; and lastly, Crockfords Las Vegas LXR Hotels & Resorts will offer 236 ultra-luxury rooms and suites ranging from 550 to 7,000 square feet.

Unfortunately, the 5,000-seat theater will not be ready until the fall of 2021, but the 2.5 jobs per room brought into Vegas by the entire project is sure to help revitalize the economy. Hurry over to the Resorts World Las Vegas website to make a reservation, 3,500 rooms will go faster than you think!

When it comes to finding a home, the decision to rent or buy is often a big one. While owning a home is a dream for many, renting shouldn't be seen as a "second choice"—in fact, it comes with plenty of exciting benefits that make it a smart and practical option! Here's why renting might just be the best move for you: 1. Freedom to Move: Life is unpredictable, and renting gives you the freedom to pick up and go when needed. Whether you're chasing a new job opportunity, exploring a different city, or just want a change of scenery, renting lets you keep your options open without being tied down to one location. 2. Lower Upfront Costs: Forget about scraping together a hefty down payment! Renting typically requires only a security deposit and the first month’s rent, which means you can save your hard-earned cash for other things—like travel, adventures, or just having a little more financial breathing room. 3. Less Maintenance Headaches: Leaky faucet? Broken heater? No problem! As a renter, you can sit back and relax because your landlord or property management team handles all the repairs and maintenance. 4. More Money for What You Want: Without mortgage payments, property taxes, or expensive home repairs on your plate, renting can leave you with more disposable income. Whether it’s saving for the future, treating yourself to a weekend getaway, or investing in your passions, renting can give you the financial flexibility to live life on your terms. Renting is more than just a steppingstone to homeownership—it’s a lifestyle choice that offers flexibility, convenience, and financial freedom. So next time you think of renting as a "lesser" option, remember all the ways it can make life easier, more exciting, and stress free.

In today’s fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and forget the simple things that make life meaningful. One of the most powerful, yet often overlooked, ways to enrich our lives is by expressing gratitude. Whether it's sending a handwritten thank you card, picking up the phone to call a loved one, or simply acknowledging someone's kindness, these small acts have big benefits for both the giver and the receiver! 1. Improves Mental Health Expressing gratitude can have a positive impact on your mental well-being. Studies show that taking the time to acknowledge and appreciate what others do for you can lower stress and improve your overall mood. When you send a thank you note or call someone to express your appreciation, you foster positive emotions that help shift your mindset toward optimism. 2. Strengthens Relationships A heartfelt "thank you" can go a long way in maintaining and deepening your relationships. Whether it’s a friend, family member, or colleague, showing gratitude makes the recipient feel valued and recognized. A quick phone call or a note saying "I appreciate you" can create a stronger bond and encourage more positive interactions in the future. 3. Cultivates a Culture of Kindness By expressing gratitude, you're setting an example for those around you. It’s contagious! When you take the time to appreciate others, you're encouraging a culture of kindness and appreciation in your community. Small gestures like sending thank you cards can inspire others to do the same, creating a ripple effect of positivity. In Conclusion Expressing gratitude doesn’t require grand gestures. A thank you card, a quick call, or a heartfelt message can transform your relationships and improve your own well-being. The power of gratitude is undeniable—small acts of appreciation can have a lasting impact, creating a more positive and connected world for everyone. So, go ahead—reach out, say thank you, and feel the benefits in return.

We’re sure you’ve heard about Punxsutawney Phil of Pennsylvania, but did you know Nevada has its own unique way of signaling the arrival of spring in the desert? His name is Mojave Max! Mojave Max, a tortoise residing at the Springs Preserve in Las Vegas, acts as a local mascot for the desert tortoise conservation program. Katrina Smith, the Senior Zoologist at the preserve, explains that Mojave Max's emergence is rooted in biology rather than folklore. Unlike a rodent seeing its shadow, which holds no real significance, the emergence of a desert tortoise is a biological event. For Max, the temperature inside his burrow must reach a certain threshold before he becomes active. This signals the warming weather, the blooming of flowers, and the increase in wildlife activity. When he emerges, it marks the official arrival of spring! Over the past two years, Max has emerged in late March, and his return has become a highly anticipated event. For over 25 years, local elementary students have been participating in the Mojave Max Emergence Contest, guessing the date of his big appearance. Mojave Max's emergence serves as a reminder that spring in the desert is not just a season, but a living, breathing change in the environment that calls for our attention and care!
